La revista Guitar World reconocida en todo el mundo por ser especialista en todo aquello que se relacione con guitarra, ha realizado una lista con los 50 mejores solos de guitarra de la historia.
Aparentemente resulta más balanceada que la que había realizado la revista Rolling Stone. Por lo que merecería mayor reconocimiento.
Jimi Hendrix aparece en cuatro ocasiones, Jimmy Page cuenta con tres lugares al igual que Eric Clapton que además se encuentra en primer lugar.
